Campaigns & More – Swiis Foster Care
Pride Campaign
We attended Bristol Pride 2024 with a stall, showcasing a plethora of fun items to be won by playing our spin the wheel game. We had branded water bottles, t-shirts, sweets, tote bags and more, which the public loved. Our stall was one of the busiest at the festival. I designed all the items on and around the stall including the spin the wheel game, roller banners and brochures.
Various Documents
Below are various documents I have created, shown via the flipbook viewer application I produced.
Refer A Friend Email & Leaflet Campaign
Our Refer A Friend Campaign was an email campaign that would remind our carers of the benefits received when referring a friend to become a foster carer. Staying on brand, I used a few methods together to create a visually appealing piece of content all while containing all the information needed to be communicated. Using the two brand oranges and yellows of Swiis Foster Care and 3D and 2D graphical elements, I managed to make certain pieces of information pop out and engage the audience. It is always a good idea to split up information, even in the slightest ways, so it is easily digestible for the people reading it.

Every Parent Day Campaign
Our Every Parent Campaign was a campaign to celebrate the foster carers who foster with Swiis Foster Care. It was in place of Mother’s Day, but because not all foster carers are female, it was decided to make it an Every Parent Day for inclusivity.
The premise of the campaign was to send daffodils to all the carers to thank them for all the care and love they give the children looked after. The daffodil was used because it is a flower that marks the start of Spring, the new beginning of the year. So the daffodil would signify the new beginning that foster carers give the young people in their care.
I created a card that would be given to the carer along with the daffodils (above right), and then used the same design for the basis of all social media and website content that would promote the event.

Football Charity Event
Some of the foster carers and young people put on a charity event to raise money for Cancer Research, so I created this leaflet to go out to our email list.

New Year, New Career Social Media Campaign
Our team worked with a PR agency that conducted a survey regarding fostering and the myths that surrounded fostering. I was tasked to create the imagery to promote this information on our social media pages.
I used different types of imagery for each piece of information, and I used colour bars, colour and saturation adjustments with fade gradients to make certain elements pop.

I worked with a member in my team on this campaign, who would generally provide the copy for pieces of content like this and I would produce the final visual outcome.

The aim was to inform people who might be contemplating starting their fostering journey, but think that there are barriers in the way of them doing so.

The Big 5 Challenge & Tasks – Activities for Children

Every so often, we would get requests to produce activity flyers for the children looked after, and these were normally challenges they could perform, sometimes around a specific theme.
I used Adobe Express to produce this flyer as I started to move my work from Canva, as I am always trying out new programs and learning new systems.

The following flyers were encouraging the young people to perform specific everyday tasks, which would then help them in everyday life and grow their confidence.
Generally, I would use the 3D graphics provided by programs like Canva, but occasionally I would produce my own (see below). The characters in the graphics I produced were from the original 2D family graphics used by Swiis Foster Care, made 3D.

My aim with these flyers was to always make them look fun and vibrant for the children being looked after. I found when I was younger that I would engage more with pieces of information that grabbed my eye and made things look fun and interesting.

Seasonal Events Programs & Activities for Families
Producing seasonal event programs was among the many pieces of content we had to produce, and we always had to make them new and exciting.

Summer Program 2023

A group of young people put on a car show with the help of social workers and foster carers to raise money for Cancer Research, and we created a flyer to spread the word of this wonderful event.

Training & Workshop Certificates
Designing certificate templates was another aspect of my tasks. The lower right design was the template I created before the rebranding I did of Swiis Foster Care, after I first started, and the lower right design was the template I produced after the rebranding.

Pathfinder Magazine Full Page Advert

This was a full-page advert for the Pathfinder Magazine, which is a magazine on the topic of work-related subjects for ex-service personnel.
We always tried to include elements like QR codes to make enquiries as simple to acquire and easier to track.
